Mastering the air attack

This Clash of Clans guide will teach players the ins and outs of all air attack strategies and how to ultimately use the air to the player’s advantage. There are three air-based types of troops in the game: Minion, Balloon, and Dragon. The Minion has good speed, is relatively weak and inexpensive, and has good range. In contrast, the Balloon is the game’s slowest moving troop, deals devastating splash damage, but can be taken down with ease by anti-air defenses. Lastly, the Dragon has a wide range of abilities, having the ability to attack both ground and air units. Additionally, Dragons have great range and splash damage.

The first and best strategy we’re going to cover is designed to be the mother of all trophy hunting and gold grabbing strategies. It involves all three air-based troops as well as Rage Spells, which increases an individual unit’s damage by a fixed percentage, and Healing Spells, which heals all friendly units within a stationary ring for a total of 12 seconds. For this method, the player will need 20 Minions, three Dragons, 20 Balloons, two Rage Spells, and one Healing Spell. In total, this will cost 120 Dark Elixir, and 217,000 Elixir.

Now that the player has everything prepared, it’s time to execute this strategy and claim victory. First, be wary of Air Defense. Since Minions are cheap and easily replaced, test for air bombs by deploying a Minion near the enemy’s Air Defense. Deploy another Minion near to see what troops the enemy has in their Clan Castle. Take out the troops from the Clan Castle by deploying the player’s remaining Minions. This should also help with distracting the Air Defense. Next, with the air defense distracted, deploy all of the player’s Balloons and guide them to attack the Air Defense.

To give them that extra edge, give the player’s Balloons one Rage Spell. After the enemy’s Air Defense is destroyed, it’s time to deploy all three Dragons to clean up any stragglers. As the player’s Balloons close in on the second Air Defense, give them the second Rage Spell. Wizard Towers will deal powerful splash damage to both ground and air troops, so it’s advisable to use the Healing Spell on the Balloons with the Healing Spell if the enemy’s Wizard Tower is taking it’s toll on the player’s army.

The next strategy uses Balloons and is effective with both high and low trophy levels. An important thing to keep in mind while launching this attack is the fact that Balloons prioritize defense units. As previously said, Balloons move slowly (even slower than Giants!) This adds more importance to the game’s time limit.
As air defense buildings can take out Balloons with up to three shots, the player’s main focus should be to destroy said defense buildings as quickly as possible.

Clash Of Clans Tips

Bases built with their defense buildings exposed are the best targets for Balloon attacks. Castle Clans often house Archers or an Arch Queen, who attack air troops, so be wary! The attacker can either spread his or her Balloons to attack all Air Defense buildings at once, or deploy all of the Balloons at once to quickly take out an Air Defense building with ease.

Now that we’ve covered the essentials needed to become a master at Clash of Clans aerial raids, remember to try combining the three different types of air-based troops to create your own army and crush your opponents. Minions are generally low-level, easily replaced, but mighty in numbers. Balloons are slow yet powerful, and always go good when deployed alongside Minions. Last but not least, Dragons are a devastating powerhouse not to be underestimated, but can and will be defeated if the player is not careful.

Town Hall Level 4 Strategy Guide

If you upgrade your equipment strategically and efficiently, you can quickly pass Town Hall 4 in Clash of Clans with ease. This guide will you provide you with the most efficient upgrading and building path for all of your structures. At this point in the game, unless you’ve bought gems or took your time trying to get the 1250 trophy achievement in Town Hall, you should still have two builders. Fortunately for this Town Hall level, two builders is all you need to adequately max your stats for a majority of your buildings while your research time completes.

Prioritizing Upgrades for Town Hall 4

The following upgrades should be completed in the specified order before you start on any other buildings, structures, or upgrades. Once completed, start on the second most important tasks in the order given.

Builder No.1 – Upgrade Laboratory – Upgrade Storage Structures

Your initial priority when you enter Town Hall 4 is to begin with Laboratory upgrades. Because the research required at this level takes so long to complete, it’s important that you upgrade the Laboratory early on so that you can begin your research sooner. Although upgrading your storage units early on may seem a bit strange, being proactive will pay off in the long run because it will allow you to hold more resources so that you may continue to farm for resources while your builders are occupied.

When one of your builders are available to work on something else, you have the option of using your remaining resources on improving your walls before starting on other upgrades. So by having your storage structures upgrade early on, you’ll greatly improve your ability to upgrade your walls in an efficient manner.

Builder No.2 – Place Walls – New Barracks – Barracks Level 2 – New Archer Tower – Fix Base – Upgrade Army Camps

Your second builder will be very occupied at Town Hall 4. To start, have the builder create new walls and spend any remaining resources on wall upgrades. Afterwards, the builder should build a brand new Barracks that will be upgraded to level two once completed. Following this, have your builder start on the new Archer Tower that became available at level 4. After the Archer Tower structure has begun, you may reorganize your base to form a more strategic farming defense position. Once you’ve repositioned your base to allow for the Archer Tower and new defensive walls, have your second builder begin upgrading all of your Army Camps to the highest level you can get them to.

Important Secondary Tasks for Town Hall 4

Once you have completed all of the primary tasks listed above, start on the following secondary priorities. Since it will only take you about a day to finish the first two projects, you should be able to start working towards Town Hall 5 with no problems.

1st Task: Upgrade the capacity of your Clan Castle.

The first thing you should concentrate on is upgrading your Clan Castle with one of your builders. By improving the strength of the building by 10 to 15 units, you’ll notice a tremendously big difference in durability.

2nd Task: Air Defense and Tower Stats

Your second priority should be to create an Air Defense Tower and increase all of your towers’ stats to the highest available level. Although upgrading your Air Defense tower to level two will take an entire day, upgrading the remaining towers to their full potential will only take about a day. To do this efficiently, have one of your builders concentrate on the Air Defense tower while your other builder focuses on upgrading the Archer Towers, Mortars, and Cannons.

3rd Task: Town Hall 5

After completing your second task, have one of your builders begin on working towards Town Hall 5 and use your other builder to upgrade your Barracks. Once your defensive towers have been upgraded all the way, begin upgrading to Town Hall 5. Because it takes around two days for Town Hall 5 to complete, you should begin this upgrade process before you’ve completely upgraded your other structures. During this time, utilize your remaining builder in improving your Barracks to their maximum level.

4th Task: Mine and Collectors

Once you’ve completed the upgrade process for your Barracks (this should finish before the Town Hall 5 upgrade), put your builders to work by making them build and upgrade Gold Mines and Elixir Collectors.

Town Hall Level 5 Strategy Guide

Because so many new building upgrades and new structures are introduced in this level, Town Hall 5 is considered to be one of the biggest upgrades for Clash of Clans players. In this guide, you’ll be given the most efficient path of upgrading your units.

Depending on how you prioritized during earlier levels, you should have either two or three builders as you go into Town Hall 5. If you’re a player that only has two builders, make sure to get the 450 gem achievement for obtaining 1250 trophies and make this one of your main priorities. If you want to level your base quickly and efficiently, you must get a third builder. An easy way to obtain more trophies is to keep attacking and skipping bases bases until you see one that has their Town Hall placed in the corner. When you find these Town Halls, simply kill (by sniping) these Town Halls repeatedly until you get 1250 trophies. Afterwards, you can lower your trophy count to about 700-1000 for Town Hall 5.

In order to accommodate everyone, we will assume that you only have two builders at this point. However, if you are a player who already has three builders, keep your third builder busy by having him work on the items listed at the bottom of this article while your other two builders begin constructing important units and structures.

Prioritizing Upgrades and Structures in Town Hall 5

At the start of Town Hall 5, the following buildings should be your main focus. Once you have completed these unit upgrades, start working on the secondary objectives listed in the lower portion of this guide.

Builder No.1: Laboratory – Spell Factory

Start by having your first builder upgrade the Laboratory as soon as Town Hall 5 is finished. Since the Laboratory upgrades provide the largest increase in strength and durability at this level, it’s imperative that you start working on this immediately. Begin by completing research for Barbarian level 3 first and then Archer level 3. Having these upgrades will make a tremendous difference in the efficiency of your farming.

When your builder has completed the Laboratory, have him start on the Spell Factory. Even though the Lightning Spell isn’t the most powerful, you can still utilize it to wipe out Clan Castle units if you’re ever in a pinch.

Builder No.2: New Walls – New Army Camp – Army Camp Upgrades

Have your second builder focus all remaining gold into fortifying your walls and then Army Camp upgrades. When you start on your new Army Camp, make sure that your builder stays on it until the stats of that camp are maxed out. Following this, have that builder upgrade your other two Army Camps all the way as well. By doing so, your army count should come out to a total of 135 (a drastic difference compared to Town Hall 4 players).

Town Hall 5 Secondary Tasks

Once your two builders have finished their primary tasks, begin working on the following objectives. (This section also applies to those with a third builder)

1st Task: Build New Towers and Rearrange a New Base Layout

When you reach Town Hall 5, go ahead and build a new Cannon, Archer Tower, and Wizard tower in that order. Once you’ve constructed the final Wizard Tower, reposition the units in your base.

2nd Task: Upgrade Your Barracks

The most efficient method of doing this is by taking only one of your builders and having him upgrade your Barracks to the highest level attainable. Be sure to only utilize one builder for your Barracks, otherwise you’ll have a hard time farming.

town hall level 5 base

3rd Task: Upgrade Your Towers

While upgrades are being performed on your Barracks, use your remaining builders to improve your defensive towers. However, start with the newest towers first. Upgrading the Cannon and Archer tower is fairly quick and will provide you with the biggest increase in strength. Make sure to upgrade your defensive towers all the way before you start on Town Hall 6.

4th Task: Upgrade All Other Structures

If you haven’t done so, go ahead and upgrade the rest of your buildings and structures (including your resource buildings). Once you’ve completed this, go ahead and begin working towards Town Hall 6. If you find yourself having free builders during this time, have them working on upgrading your Gold Mines and Elixir Collectors (don’t worry about maxing out the stats though).

Town Hall Level 10 Strategy Guide

You’ve made it, the revered Town Hall Level 10 is right in front of you, and it offers a plethora of new buildings and upgrades. The most important thing is to jump in upgrading your defenses, as you’re enemies have just gotten a lot stronger than you. You’ll notice that most people have much higher-level walls than you, and it’s a first priority to focus on getting your walls to the highest level possible. After level 8, walls require Gold and Elixir, so upgrading all of your walls will be the most time consuming this you do.

Besides upgrading your walls, It’s imperative to place the extra Cannon, Archer Tower, and X-bow that you’ve just unlocked. There’s also a new defensive building unlocked, the Inferno Tower. The Inferno Tower is capable of attacking Air and Ground units, and can be switched between Single-target mode and Multi-target mode. This tower can be upgraded to level 3, but it’s not the focus right now.

It’s now time to work on upgrading, as with Town Hall Level 10 you get a lot of defensive upgrades. First things first, upgrade your Cannons to level 13, previously the max level was 11. After upgrading your Cannons, it’s now time to focus on upgrading your Mortars to level 8, this is a much easier task than upgrading all of your cannons. After Mortars, it’s now time to upgrade your Archer Towers to level 13, previously the max level was 11. The X-bows are the next thing to upgrade; having all of your X-bows at level 4 will make you one step closer to impenetrable. Before upgrading your Inferno Cannons to level 3, make sure your Air Defenses are at least level 7, many people focus on ground attacks so these aren’t the most important thing to focus on.

At this point, your Gold Mines and Elixir Collectors should already be level 12, but if they aren’t that’s a great next stop. It’s not as important to upgrade your Dark Elixir Drill, unless you use Dark Elixir units, if you do make sure these are upgraded to level 6, previously max level 3. Next, make sure you’ve upgraded the Spell Factory to level 5, as this gives you access to the Freeze Spell, which will temporarily freeze enemy units and/or defenses. Upgrading your Clan Castle to level 6 is also a very important defensive move, as it’ll give you a troop capacity of 35.

Now that you’ve upgraded your defenses and resources, it’s now time to put all focus on making an unstoppable army. First, work towards upgrading your 4 Army Camps to level 8, this will give you a total capacity of 240. Once your troop capacity is maxed out, it’s now time to focus on army upgrades. The final step is wo upgrade your Laboratory to level 8. This is going to be the most time consuming part because there’s only one Laboratory, so we’ll be prioritizing the upgrades.

TH10-farmer1-940x400

The single most important upgrade you get with your Level 8 Laboratory is level 5 and 6 P.E.K.K.A.S., both of these upgrades take 14 days but will make your army essentially unstoppable on its own. After upgrading your P.E.K.K.A.S. the next focus should be on Dragons. Upgrading your dragons to level 5 will make you a force to be reckoned with when used alongside Level 6 P.E.K.K.A.S. Other important upgrades to note are: Giant level 7, Lightning Spell level 6, and leveling up your Freezes Spell to its maximum, level 5.

Now that you’ve upgraded your defenses, resources, and army, the final focus is on setting up and upgrading Traps. Town Hall Level 10 gives you access to a few more traps, and some big upgrades that really change how effective your traps are. After placing the extra Giant Bomb, Air Bomb, Seeking Air Mine, and Skeleton Trap, it’s now time to focus on upgrading your Traps. Ensuring that your Bombs are upgraded to level 6 is a first priority. Other important Traps to upgrade to max level are the Giant Bomb, Seeking Trap, and Skeleton Trap. Also, don’t make sure to upgrade your Hidden Teslas’ to level 8, these may give you the extra push your defense needs to fend off that especially difficult enemy!

Town Hall Level 9 Strategy Guide

Town Hall Level 9 Upgrades

In order to reach Town Hall Level 9 in Clash of Clans, you’ll need to spend 3, 000, 000 gold and wait 10 days for the upgrade to be completed. Upon the Builder’s completion of the upgrade, the Town hall will gain an additional 500 hit points and grant access to an additional 9 buildings. This includes 25 new wall sections, an Archer Tower, an Air Defense, a Wizard Tower, a Hidden Tesla, another Giant Bomb, 2 more Seeking Air Mines, and 2 X-Bows.

This upgrade also increases the maximum upgrade level for the Cannons, Archer Towers, Mortars, Air Defenses, Wizard Towers, Hidden Teslas, Bombs, Air Bombs, Seeking Air Mines, Skeleton Traps, Dark Barracks, the Army Camps, the Laboratory, the Spell Factory, and the Clan Castle.

This new Town Hall allows you to purchase an additional Gold Storage and Elixir Storage for unlock, raising your potential maximum amount of resources to 8, 000, 000 for both types. This also allows you to upgrade both your Dark Elixir Drills from level 3 to level 6 to increase the production rate to 100 Dark Elixir per hour and the maximum capacity to 1, 800 Dark Elixir, at a cost of 12, 000, 000 Elixir and 18 days each.

In addition, the Dark Elixir Storage may be upgraded from level 4 to level 6 at a cost of 6, 600, 000 Elixir and 11 days, increasing the hit points to 3, 600 and the storage capacity to 200, 000 Dark Elixir. To increase your troop capacity to 30 troops and your War Loot Capacity to 1, 500, 000 Gold and Elixir and 6, 000 Dark Elixir, you must upgrade your Clan Castle to level 5 at a cost of 5, 000, 000 Gold and 7 days.

Defense

On the side of defense, it is important to upgrade your single-fire turrets early on; however, it is up to the player to decide whether to invest in new defenses or to further upgrade existing defenses. Players can purchase X-Bows at a cost of 3, 000, 000 Gold and 7 days, as these turrets can target both air and ground troops; however, X-Bows must be loaded with Dark Elixir in order for them to actually operate. Players may also purchase an additional Hidden Tesla, as these take up less space than traditional defenses, can target both ground and air troops, and appear invisible when other players scout your base.

The Cannons can be upgraded to level 11 to improve damage per second to 75 and increase the hit points to 970, at a cost of 3, 200, 000 Gold and 5 days each. The Archer Towers can be upgraded to level 11 to improve damage per second to 75 and increase the hit points to 805, at a cost of 4, 500, 000 Gold and 6 days each. Finally, to ensure that your Air Defense can readily deal with Dragon raids, you can upgrade your Air Defense to level 7 at a cost of 4, 320, 000 Gold and 10 days each to increase damage per second to 280 and increase hit points to 1, 110.

town hall level 9 base

Next, players should focus on improving defenses that deal splash damage, along with traps. Mortars can be upgraded to level 7 at a cost of 3, 200, 000 Gold and 7 days, to improve damage per second to 11 and increase the hit points to 700. Wizard Towers can also be upgraded to level 7 at a cost of 5, 360, 000 and 7 days to improve damage per second to 40 and increase the hit points to 840. Traps can also provide important stopping power to thwart raids that would normally be successful. For example, bombs are useful for taking out smaller troops, such as Barbarians, Archers, and Goblins.

Big Bombs are useful for heavier troops like Giants, Golems, and P.E.K.K.A.s. Air Bombs and Seeking Air Mines are useful for a range of aerial troops, from Healers, to Dragons, to Minions. Upgrades to all of these traps increase the damage they cause and their rearm cost. Unique to most other traps, upgrades to the Skeleton Traps increase the number of spawned skeletons, delaying raiding troops from attacking your Town and stealing your resources.

Town Hall Level 6 Strategy Guide

Town Hall Level 6 is one of the least exciting upgrades, unlocking only a few more buildings, but offering a lot of upgrades. This is a great time to focus on leveling up your defenses, something that will come in handy in the following Town Hall levels. The first thing to focus on is placing the extra Gold Mine and Elixir Collector that you’ve unlocked.

After placing the Gold Mine and Elixir Collector, it’s now a good time to focus on upgrading them. The max level for Gold Mines and Elixir Collectors is 10, and it’s important to have all of them at least up to level 9. This will dramatically increase your output and you’ll have to waste less time waiting for enough resources. Once you’ve leveled up those up, it’s now time to upgrade your Barracks to level 8. Level 8 Barracks gives you access to a new type of unit: The Healer. The Healer is a flying unit that follows around your troops healing all of them (in the area) every couple seconds.

town hall level 6 strategy guide

The Healer completely changes the game, and goes hand in hand with the Giant. In order to use these troops effectively, you need to upgrade your units. Luckily, Town Hall Level 6 gives you access to a new upgrade for your Laboratory, Level 4. The first, and most important upgrade is getting your Giants to level 3. This will make them significantly better than level 1 Giants, giving them almost double the damage per second, and more than a 30% increase in health.

The next most important upgrades are for Wall Breakers (Skeletons) and Balloons. Upgrading your Wall Breakers is extremely important, as you don’t want to waste troops breaking through defenses. Upgrading your Wall Breaker to level 3 will make it so you only need to use 2 Wall Breakers to get through a Golden Wall, which will be the best wall most of your opponents are using. Using Balloons are very effective at low levels because most players don’t have a strong air defense setup.

Upgrading your Balloons to level 3 will make them twice as strong, and a 50% increase to health, making them unstoppable against other Level 6 Town Halls. Ensure that all 3 of your Army Bases have been placed, this will make attacks significantly easier. Town Hall Level 6 allows you to upgrade your Army Bases to Level 6, which will give you a troop capacity of 150. If you plan on attacking a lot, it’s important to find an attacking strategy that works for you.

At Town Hall Level 6, there’s really only three effective ways to go about attacking. The most popular strategy is to use only Balloons (ensure they are upgraded to level 3!) and swarm the enemy from all angles, so that you’re able to reach their single Air Defense before all your balloons are shot down. The next strategy involves using Giants, Healers, and Archers. If you plan on using this strategy, make sure your Archers are also upgraded to level 3. Use 3 Healers, a few Giants, and the rest Archers and focus on attacking from 3 different angles.

Finally, a very basic strategy that’s used at higher levels is the Wall Breaker and Goblin combo. Use Wall Breakers to make a few holes in their outside walls, then use tons (100+) of Goblins to run in and steal all of their Gold, Elixir, and maybe even Dark Elixir (even though you won’t be able to keep this)!

The final focus point for Town Hall Level 6 is your defenses. This Town Hall upgrade gives you access to another one of the single most important defensive units: The Mortar. It is imperative that you upgrade both of your Mortars to their maximum level, level 4. If you find your base still getting completely destroyed too often, think about placing your Town Hall outside of the walls.

Many attackers will simply destroy your Town Hall and leave, although you’ll lose trophies doing this, it’s very easy to gain trophies once you’ve leveled up more.

Town Hall Level 8 Strategy Guide

The Town Hall Level 8 upgrade is huge, and gives you access to a plethora of new buildings, and a large amount of upgrades. Defenses are the focus of Town Hall Level 8 though, with a large amount of building and troop upgrades, as well as additional defensive buildings. This upgrade also gives you access to another Dark Elixir Drill and Dark Barracks, so that you can begin to start producing more Dark Elixir Troops. There’s also a lot more Traps to place and upgrade, as well as a new one called the Skeleton Trap.

The first thing you’ll want to do now that you’re Town Hall Level 8 is place the additional Dark Elixir Drill, and work to upgrade both of your Drills to level 3. Next you’ll want to upgrade your Gold Mines and Elixir Collectors to level 12, as well as place your new Gold and Elixir Storages. It’s important to upgrade those until you can carry at least 3 million Gold and Elixir respectively.

It’s now time to change focus to working on the Defense of your castle, which you can start on by placing the additional 50 walls you unlocked at Town Hall Level 8. Make sure all of your walls are at least level 6 (purple), with some of your interior at level 7 (dark purple). It’s next time to upgrade your Cannons and Archer Towers; this Town Hall upgrade lets you upgrade both your Cannons and Archer Towers to level 10. After upgrading your Cannons and Archer Towers to level 10, it’s now time to upgrade your Wizard Towers to level 6, you’ll notice how much more useful they’ll become.

Town Hall 8

Traps become much more lethal at Town Hall Level 8, and with the amount of upgrades you unlock, it’s important to focus on this aspect if your defenses. First, place the 2 Spring Traps, 1 Giant Bomb, 2 Air Bombs, 1 Seeking Air Mine and the new Skeleton Traps that you’ve just unlocked. It’s important to make sure your traps are upgraded, as they’ll do significantly more damage and can be the driving force that keeps people from being able to get 3 stars on your castle. Make sure to upgrade your new Skeleton Traps to level 2, as well as your Bombs to level 5, these now do a significant amount of damage.

Hidden Teslas also begin to play a huge role, as you can now place 3 of these. It’s important to upgrade your 3 Teslas as well, ensure they’re at least level 5. It’s also important to think about saving up your Elixir as at the next Town Hall level your get access to X-Bows, which will revolutionize your defenses.

Working on your army for Town Hall Level 8 gives you access to P.E.K.K.A.S.’s which will destroy clan on their own. You may also want to think about upgrading multiple of your Town Halls to Level 8, as you could produce multiple Dragons and P.E.K.K.A.S.’s at the same time. In addition to the barracks upgrade, you can also upgrade your Dark Barracks to level 4.

Having both your Dark Barracks at level 4 will give you access to two new troops, the Valkyrie and Golem. Using all these new troops that you’ve acquired with your new Level 8 Town Hall basically ensures victory on the battlefield, as long as your troops are upgraded.

The last thing to do is upgrade your troops, Town Hall Level 8 gives you access to a Level 6 Laboratory, which will make your army significantly stronger. That is because this upgraded Laboratory lets you upgrade every single troop unit again. Upgrading every single unit would take too long, and would cost far too much. Because of this we’ve narrowed it down to 6 united that need to be upgraded. The most important two, and most costly are P.E.K.K.A.’s and Dragons. P.E.K.K.A.’s are already extremely powerful, but upgrading them to level 3 makes them unstoppable. Dragons are the same, upgrading them to level 3 makes them turn into a force to be reckoned with. Besides these two units, it may also be important to upgrade the Healer to level 3, the Lightning Spell (or whichever you use) to level 5, Valkyries to level 2, and finally upgrading Golems to level 2. These upgrades should leave you with an unstoppable army and impenetrable defenses.

Town Hall Level 7 Strategy Guide

Upgrading your Town Hall to Level 7 is a huge feat, and allows access to a plethora of new buildings and upgrades. The sheer amount of new buildings and upgrades can leave some Clash of Clans players at an impasse, unsure of what the next move should be. This guide will solve that problem, offering advice on what to upgrade and when; you’ll be upgrading your Town Hall to Level 8 in no time.

The most important upgrade at level 7 is the addition of Dark Elixir. Placing the Dark Elixir Drill and Dark Elixir Storage is a great first step as gaining Dark Elixir is a very slow task. The reason for jumping into Dark Elixir right away is because you also get access to the Dark Barracks as well at Town Hall Level 7. A level 1 Dark Barracks gives you access to 7 new troops, which completely change the way you’ll attack.

Town Hall 7

After placing the Dark Elixir Drill and Storage, it’s now time to focus on the defensive unlocks you’ve just attained. Town Hall Level 7 is a great time to focus on building up your defenses and army if you haven’t by now. Placing the 2 new cannons you’ve been given is a great first step; also work to upgrade all of your cannons to level 8. Placing the additional 50 Walls, Archer Tower, Mortar, and Air Defense is the next clear step, don’t worry about the 2 Hidden Tessa’s for now as they’re far too expensive for the small impact they give.

Next it’s important to make sure your defenses are upgraded. Ensuring your Cannons are level 8, Archer Towers are level 8, and Mortars are level 5 will ensure your defenses are sufficient. Your walls should be level 5 (Gold) and you should start upgrading your interior walls to level 6. Having your Air Defense upgraded to level 6 is also very important, as players are able to upgrade Dragons at Town Hall Level 7, something you’ll soon be working towards acquiring.

Although you’re not able to place additional Elixir Collectors or Gold Mines, it’s important to focus on upgrading both of them to at least level 11 if they aren’t already, to ensure you’ll have enough resources to build up your army every day. Having your Gold and Elixir Storage at level 10 is sufficient, as you often will be too busy upgrading to stockpile resources.

Constructing a destructive Army is a very doable task at Town Hall Level 7, most importantly because you’re given access to Dragons. Before focusing on upgrading your barracks, it’s essential to ensure you have enough troop capacity.   Having a troop capacity of over 200 is necessary, and can be done easily by having your Army Camps upgraded to level 6. Once you’ve accomplished that, it’s now time to focus on upgrading one of your Barracks to level 8 so that you can start training dragons, it’s not necessary, but will increase the frequency dramatically if which you can attack if you upgrade a second Barracks to level 8, but not necessary.

It’s now time to focus on upgrading your units; your Laboratory should be upgraded to level 5 by now, if it’s not already. Your first upgrade should be spent on the first Dragon upgrade, this costs 2 million elixir, but is absolutely worth it. Upgrading your Healer to level 1, as well as upgrading your Lightning Spell can prove useful. While saving up elixir to upgrade units, it is a good time to also save up 2 million gold to purchase both of the Hidden Teslas.

Your final upgrades should be on your Spell Factory and Traps (Bombs, Spring Traps, Air Bombs, Giant Bombs, and the Seeking Air Mine). Upgrading your Spell Factory to at least level 2 can prove very helpful while attacking, as this gives you access to an essential Healing Spell and increased capacity by 1. The final step is now to focus on your Traps, Town Hall Level 7 gives you access to 3 more Traps, all of which should be upgraded to at least level 3. Ensuring you have a good defense will significantly decrease the amount of resources the get stolen from you, allowing you to upgrade all of your units, and your Town Hall even quicker.

Naming your Clash of Clans base

If you’ve been playing Clash of Clans for quite some time, perhaps you’ve debated changing your name before. Whether your name is unsatisfactory to you anymore, or it contains some kind of unprofessional racist or sexist slur, you may not want it anymore. In addition, you may be thinking about making your own clan with some of your friends, and you could be having a hard time naming your clan!

Whatever the case may be, in this article we’re going to talk all about naming in Clash of Clans. We’ll go over changing your name, some good suggestions, and discuss everything relevant to names in Clash of Clans. Let’s begin.

Your Personal Clash of Clans Name

This is the first thing to discuss in this article. You want the best name for your character, it’s a fact. If you’re going to play a game for a long time, your name is a representation of who and what you are. Is your name something super immature or offensive? Did you make your name a few years ago when you were a different person than the one you are? Whatever the case may be, there are a few ways you can go about potentially changing or fixing your name. We’re going to look at what can be done to fix your old name that you currently hate!

Option 1 (The Hard Way) – Making a New Character

You already know how to progress in Clash of Clans quickly, but don’t like your old name? Make a new one! This is the hard way of doing things, and should be a last resort only. It can be fun to restart your character, and playing with newbies when you’re obviously experienced can be fun at times, even if it is easy. You also get to unlock everything a second time, and you’ll have a name you actually like this time around. It can kill two birds with one stone.

When deleting your character do it the right way though. Just deleting the shortcut on your phone won’t get rid of the app. You need to completely wipe your data off your phone! Otherwise it’ll stay there. You can find out how to properly delete Clash of Clans with a quick Google search.

Option 2 (The Easy Way) – Email SuperCell or Clash of Clans

Let’s now look over how to do this in the right way. You should try this before doing option 1 unless restarting your game sounds intriguing. There are two ways to easily contact SuperCell. You can either find their email online on their website, and try to reach their attention by typing something like “Clash of Clans Report Problem” or “Clash of Clans Change Name” in the subject head, then write a nice message to them asking them to politely change your name.

Another way of doing this is to go directly in your Clash game, head over to settings, and click “help and support”. From there, click on the search icon and scroll down until you see the contact us button. Click that and send your message to SuperCell. We recommend giving them a week to reply. If they haven’t replied after that, chances are they’re not getting back to you about your name change. At that point you can try option 1.

Naming Your Clan Something Great in Clash of Clans

There are a lot of factors you should take into consideration when naming your clan on Clash. The first thing you should factor in is the type of people in your clan. Are you playing with strict co-workers from your office job? Or are you playing with your high school buddies just to blow off some steam? Your clan name should represent what you and your clan is.

Clash Of Clans Tips

A cool name can strike fear, or laughter into your enemies’ hearts. SuperCell is fairly lenient about names as long as it’s not something very obscene or vulgar. We have one method to suggest that can work for naming your clan. Usually your clan will have a good few people, so try having everyone put up their own original name, and have the clan members vote on the name. This way, the best name will likely win out. Another way is to just have the clan leader name the clan, but that’s a lot more boring than having a democracy for choosing your clan name! Clash of Clans is a serious game for many people, and clan names are important as well.

Utilizing and Protecting your Clan Castle

Clan Castles are undoubtedly one of the neatest things in Clash of Clans. It allows you to interact with other people in a game that’s otherwise not very social. You’re probably used to just attacking random people and trying to build up a base that can fend off people who try to attack you. Surprisingly, the game gets a little neater once you’re level three and can build a Clan Castle.

Finding a clan is easy. You can just look in the game itself, or take a peek online to find yourself a clan. You’ll want to find some people who like you in your clan and are willing to donate troops to you every so often so it’s worth it being in the clan. In this article we’re going to talk about how you can utilize your Clan Castle to the maximum efficiency and we’ll also talk about how you should protect your Clan Castle.

Let’s delve into the article!

Placing your Clan Castle

Placement of your Clan Castle is a huge deal later in the game, but as many people will tell you, it doesn’t matter a whole lot when you’re at a lower level. The reason for this is at a lower level (under six or seven), it’s really easy to just lure the troops in the Clan Castle to the outside of the base and out of your way so you can destroy your opponent’s Town Hall.

As you progress through the game, it’s a lot harder to just pull the troops from a Clan Castle out and away from a base as there’s so many buildings in the way. Especially if you have a maze design, your troops definitely won’t get lost. Don’t forget that your enemy has limited time, and can’t spend most of the game luring your troops out of your Clan Castle.

With all that in mind, earlier in the game it doesn’t really matter where you place your Clan Castle, and protecting it isn’t as important as your opponent will just be able to lure the troops out with a few Wall Breakers and Goblins. As your base gets bigger and you have more buildings, it’s time to start looking at the right place to set your Clan Castle down. Make sure to place it near the center of your base. The only building you should have more well-protected and hidden than your Clan Castle is your Town Hall (which should be located near your Clan Castle so your troops can protect it). This way your troops will never be lured out.

Keeping The Right Troops in your Clan Castle

Choosing the right troops for your Clan Castle is also very important. They’re what’s going to be left behind, protecting your Town Hall and trying to keep your opponent from stealing your precious trophies. In our opinion, the best troops to keep in a Clan Castle are Archers and Wizards. Archers are great because they can shoot enemies from afar and they can also shoot over walls, keeping enemies at bay for long periods of time. Wizards can deal tons of damage quickly and can decimate singular enemies nearly instantly.

If a few Wizards pop out of your Clan Castle, your opponent will surely be a little scared.
As long as you keep your Clan Castle full at all times, and place it at a good location, it should be very effective in keeping your base safe.

Protecting your Clan Castle isn’t super important at any level as long as you keep it towards the center of your base at higher levels. Anything at the center should be fairly safe from enemies, and if they’re penetrated that far through your forces, perhaps the Clan Castle will be able to fight off the last of them.
